No doubt Pothas and others will be delighted by the goings on at Leicester - the home side are 79-9 chasing 375.
Yep, great win in the end, things looking so much better this season.

Abbott has made such a difference, just worried about what happens when he is not there. Much better contribution from Coles which is good to see and pleased for Briggs, he would not have played if Dawson had not got injured but he should get a run in the side now.

Is what we have needed for about 5 years. Don't suppose there is any chance that he will not go to Sri Lanka is there? They can just take Kleinveldt instead.

Maxwell is supposed to be playing championship games when Abbott is away and I he will probably make a lot of runs but we are sure going to miss the wickets.

I wouldn't be surprised. Their selection policy where he is concerned has been wildly inconsistent. I'm sure he's ahead of Kleinveldt but he could well still be behind McLaren and Parnell and they'll take a couple of specialist spinners too. I reckon he'll be on the plane but I wouldn't be all that surprised to see them not bother, particularly as they know he'll be getting meaningful cricket if he's left out.

Never trust the forecast. Looks like Somerset might the game in. Sounds like Durham are falling to pieces with injuries to bowlers. Stokes and possibly Onions back this weekend but Wood, Borthwick and Harrison all not fit to bowl apparently.

Mark Wood particularly disappointing injury-wise, another Mark Davies?

Not given up hope yet, with Tres in we only need about 12 overs for the rest of the day:sweat:

Yes Harrison and Wood both injury prone. Hopefully for Wood's sake he isn't left bowling at Davies pace.

It's why I thought last season Durham might get relegated. Apart from Onions and Rushworth the rest are injury prone or untested. Any kind of serious injury or international callup for Onions or Rushworth and it's a lot of pressure left on the rest. Still they haven't done too badly this year.

Wood :(

Legitimately would have picked him in the Tests, too. Would've been a gun impact 3rd seamer with Woakes/Bres in support and Moeen doing the spin duties.

Smith injured again. Think he's got one year left on the contract after this one but a fat load of good he's been for Surrey.

Surrey replace injured Smith with Amla | England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) - The Official Website of the ECB
It looked like a massive coup for Surrey, but he's scored relatively little runs for them and has only played around 5 FC games for them in his two years he's been there!

Edit: Yeah you're correct about the one year left, this is his second season of a 3-year deal.

Please feel for Surrey, they've lost a marquee overseas signing in Graeme Smith so have had to replace him with lowly Hashim Amla!!!!!! :-O

How they are doing so badly in Division Two at the moment I don't know!

Glos sign Geraint Jones on loan to cover for Roderick who has broken his finger for the second time this season.

17 year old offie Taylor playing today for Hampshire.

Kinda wanted us to take a punt on one of Hampshire's young 3rd and 4th keepers, Alsop and Mcmanus. Both got good reputations but with Bates and Wheater ahead of them it's gonna be tough for them to break into the first team there. Alsop was in the squad last week as a bat alone.

Surrey made a big profit last year. So much that they had to pay back part of the money the ecb gives out to the counties.

I actually think a couple of years in div 2 with the younger players should do them good. They've got a good bunch of youngsters but they need experience
