Indian Premier League 2014

Hodge gets 6000. The only batsman other than Gayle to breach that mark. Surprisingly never a regular feature in the Aussie T20I side.
Well he was all-but retired for most of it, and he's a **** who pissed off the selectors. Not really surprising.
Nobody rates Hodge higher than Hodge himself.

Cummins sighting!
What a ball to get rid of Smith. So, so hope he can stay fit for more than 10 seconds. Him back in Test cricket would be so gun.

David Hussey to replace Bravo for Chennai Super Kings. That is going to add up more strength to the batting order for CSK.

Hmm. Disagree.
David Hussey's Stats:

60 Matches
1231 Runs
71 Highest Score
121.88 Strike Rate
83 4s
55 65

The stats are very good for a middle batting order and you do have a chance of seeing big hits.
As a Stand-in captain for KXIP in a few games in 2012, he gave five wins off nine games.
Also most successful run-getters in the Twenty20 format – with 5528 runs to his name.

He definitely adds up a + for CSK, when you replacing bowler with a batsman.

Yes but he's not anywhere near the player he was when he accumulated the vast majority of those runs. Furthermore, Bravo is not a bowler; he's an allrounder.

Dhoni has made Dussey into a death bowler now, keep up with the times.

Sincere apology for Dwayne Bravo, ran down wrong stats. Its an all-rounder replacing all-rounder.
Though Hussey has better stats than bravo, there isn't much to see it as a big turning point as a CSK squad addition.
Well, hussey as well has ability to perform and its cricket. So you never know what happens next. :)

Preity Zinta () calling Maxwell and Mandeep naughty boys. More reason to wish I was them.

Unsold in auction & now given chance make a remarkable all-rounder debut-100 off 61 balls, and hit 14 fours and two sixes + a 68 & 62 in his 2nd & 4th out of 5 matches. Well its too late now for him to make most of his debut. But, he will be an interesting auction bid in next IPL season.

Hopefully this proves that stacking your batting and ignoring your bowling is not the way to win in T20s. Buying Yuvraj with AB, Kohli and Gayle in your team was the wrong move.

Buying those players doesn't make it the wrong move, its just that they were in a sense forced to spend more on Yuvraj than they would have liked due to some miscommunication at the auction. And then they didn't have enough money to buy quality bowlers. Kohli isn't that great a captain yet, and they need to decide whether a half fit gayle is really worth it in the team. I don't know why they haven't played rampaul unless he's injured.
