Chelsea's team is just horrid. It's come to a bizarre time, that I'm desperately supporting a negative team managed by Diego ****ing Simeone, because of the horror of a Mourinho win.

You just have to celebrate Simeone's bastardry for now. If he comes to England we can start a backlash.

They're both similar in terms of style. But Atletico don't have the massive advantages that Chelsea do, so it's much easier to get behind them.

For ****'s sake.

Casual European watchers/stats-fans must think Torres has been class in his Chelsea years.

Yes!!!!!!!!! Such a cluster-**** goal defensively too. Cole and Terry missing it:laugh:

0-0 a good result away from home? who is stupid now Jose.

It is a good result tbf, whether they go through or not here doesn't change that.

I don't see why Chelsea are getting all the hate here really because as is beginning to be noted Atletico are very similar stylistically as well. Sure I can understand why you'd still rather see them go through for a number of reasons but their football isn't very good to watch, even in La Liga.

Nah, if you're away from home first leg you absolutely need to score. If you draw 0-0 then going 1-0 up in the home leg changes nothing as far as the tie goes.
Tbh I hate stuff like this. Looking at it, away against a better side (which Atletico are), Atletico are favourites. A draw is therefore an above average result. The point is that there is no home result whereby you would go through having lost the away leg 2-1, but wouldn't go through having drawn it 0-0. It is just an above average result.

Witness the price change in the odds to qualify from before the first leg to after it. Atletico were still favourites even after the first leg (rightly so), but they were favourites by more before it.

EDIT: Also how does going 1-0 up change nothing? What? Going 1-0 up puts you ahead as opposed to being level?

Not getting an away goal is pretty much like losing by a one goal margin in the first leg. In both cases you'd need to win outright at home. Would people credit a manager for going away and getting a 2-1 loss?

I think it's just stereotyping by now. Reminds me of when Chelsea went to the Etihad and everyone was joking about bus parking etc, and took about half an hour to realise Chelsea were actually playing really nice football.
