Also hate the Mourinho 'masterclass' stuff. His record in big games is amazing, but ****ing hell he did not plan Gerrard doing what he did.

Wouldn't be a huge surprise from here. And the early goal was so important in this fixture. With Palace having to chase this, you can see city scoring 3 or 4.
I'd still be surprised if Liverpool didn't win it to be honest. They're never going to lose to Newcastle, and I shouldn't have thought they will drop points at home to Palace next week either, given that Palace are already safe.

But won't City win it if they win all their remaining fixtures? I know one of those games is away to Everton, but they've not maintained their form lately and iirc their other two fixtures are pretty soft.

btw the Liverpool vs Palace game is at Selhurst Park, not Anfield.

Has anyone ever won the Title on goal difference twice in three seasons?
I doubt it. The only other time I can recall it being won on goal difference was Arsenal in 1989, but I think they were a point or two clear when they won it in 1991.

Slipping into pedant mode, I think it was goal average rather than goal difference until the 1970s, so I reckon City would be the first.

Ah, is that so? Was not aware. This is great in that case.

This one over then and Pulis will give his team a rocket for the Monday night game when Liverpool may no longer be top anyway.

Some season this.

It will come down to the Everton fixture probably for City with the way it's looking.

If they are out of the race for 4th by then, i am sure they'll be keen to do Liverpool a favor. :p

Yeah cevno is right tbh. Arsenal losing tomorrow is the best that Liverpool can hope for IMO, unless they smash 5 or 6 past both palace and Newcastle
