Good thing I've got another pick coming right up thenAlready worked out multiple replacements. Now watch all of them get picked before I can select them.
Capable of playing all the strokes, he hit the ball precisely between fielders and sometimes delayed his shot to make the ball travel more slowly and allow more time to run;he also ran well between the wickets.*He liked to score his first run quickly when he came into bat, and he often looked to score quickly at the start of an innings, before the bowlers had settled; on occasion, Hobbs targeted the main bowling threats from the opposition in an attempt to neutralise them.Early in his career, mainly before the First World War, Hobbs was an aggressive, fast-scoring batsman who played many shots
Class is class. It is pretty darn amusing watching the procession of picks that need to be justified. "But really guys, check out this paragraph I've quoted. He would totally have been a l337 T20 player!!!"
Rule #1 of the All Formats Draft - If you need to justify a pick this early in the draft, you've blown it.
Well, I won't be rushing to pick Babe Ruth any time soon because I think he'd have been pretty good at this cricket lark. Maybe round 12. Definitely not before.Class is class.
Could have been easier if you had gotten to this beforehand.Well, I won't be rushing to pick Babe Ruth any time soon because I think he'd have been pretty good at this cricket lark. Maybe round 12. Definitely not before.
To each his own.
To be fair, it also makes the thread better if G.I.Joe calls people out when they post thread-bare justifications for their Round 3 picks.Could have been easier if you had gotten to this beforehand.
And I think it makes the thread better if people post their reasons for picking someone, to ameliorate the 12 hour silences.
That's right. We come hear to socialise as much as anything else. Also, none of us are the Fount of all Knowledge, so someone may pick a player for reasons that we are not aware of. For example, I don't know much about Kohli at all (don't even know whether he is left or right handed) so would have liked a few words without having to go away and research him.Could have been easier if you had gotten to this beforehand.
