*Official* English Football Season 2013-14

Yeah it is, been thinking about it a fair bit of late

Mainly would have Liv/City/Chavs players in, maybe a couple from Soithampton
Hmm, Hazard the only obvious player from Chelsea for me. Even he has some competition tbf when you look at who plays in his position.

Defending across the league is a bit gash so Cahill and Invanovic might not be miles away. Azpilicueta perhaps too?

Yeah I think all of those are maybes, and all have had good seasons, but there have been others as good in all of those positions IMO.

Keepers : Szczesny, Begovic, Mannone

RB: Coleman, Ivanovic, Zabaleta

CB: Cahill, Skrtel, Davies, Koscielny, Jagielka, Lovren, Mertesacker

LB: Azpilicueta, Baines, Evra, Flanagan

CM: Ramsey, Yaya, Fernandinho, Henderson, Gerrard,

AM: Hazard, Silva, Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana

ST: Suarez, Aguero, Sturridge, Rooney

Some players deserve a mention but cbf listing those with next to no chance of making the cut i.e. Lukaku and Gareth Barry for Everton.
Was off the top of my head ftr so probs forgot someone and included somebody that people will disagree with.

Negredo ahead of Rooney imo.

And was entirely serious with my suggestion of Kieran Gibbs. Reckon he's been quietly very good this year.

Probably something like:

Cech
Coleman Koscielny Cahill Azpilcueta
Silva Toure Gerrard Hazard
Aguero+Suarez

Might take Luke Shaw at LB or Sturridge instead of Aguero. Skrtel has a good shout for one of the CB spots too.

Negredo ahead of Rooney is fair enough but included Rooney as a gesture to the fact he's been responsible for most of the good United have managed to produce this year, not that it says a lot. Being realistic, neither are close to making the side.

Yeah, agreed on Gibbs. Should go to the WC, will be somewhat of a travesty if he doesn't.

Evra's been terrible so I'd cut him for almost any other LB, but De Gea's definitely been in the top 3 keepers. Rodriguez probably had a better season than Lallana too.

Pains me to see Rooney in there but Negredo's really faded in the second half of the season. Maybe Lukaku.

Yeah I'd broadly agree with that except I'd definitely not have Cech in goal, maybe Skrtel instead of Koscielny or Cahill and I'd have Ramsey in CM instead of Yaya.

What with most sides playing 4-3-3 or similar these days I always think it'd be easier to pick teams like this with that formation, and a 4-3-3 TOTS would probably look slightly different.

If Liverpool did win the league who could say that Suarez and Sturridge shouldn't be in the TOTS as they would be one of the main reasons for it.

Seems strange to even consider a keeper from a side who will probably go down but Marshall at Cardiff has had an outstanding season and probably deserves to be picked.

Why can't I watch the FA Cup Semi, instead of this bore-fest. Even Jono is watching it, somethings not right.:@

Strange, Toure would have been one of my first names down. 18 league goals from CM.
