The only reason Haze would play before Copes is because NSP order it. He's been pretty toothless this year. I suppose they'll say Henriques is providing something similar to Copes even though it isn't true.

Wouldn't surprise to see Patterson retained at Rohrer's expense either.

Is Manuka going to turn? I thought it was more a seamer's pitch. Obvs Lyon will play, but I don't know if he makes the side stronger.

Usually pretty flat there. Reckon if you can get SOK up to 7, and play Copes with no Henriques, it might be the way to go.

Did anyone see what Botha did to the ball to get his penalty ?. From the reports I can't get a clear idea of what he did ?

If he had taken the second new ball for his team why was he penalised for what he did with the old ball ?

Why did he do it anyway ?

Word around the traps is that they'd done something to the ball earlier and he was removing the evidence of that before throwing the ball off the field. Now there's no evidence of that to my knowledge, but the very possibility of such a thing happening means outlawing what Botha did makes sense. I didn't even know anyone looked at old balls for signs of tampering though so it's strange in general.

Am disturbed by the recent SA tendency to choke (as opposed to general incompetence). I'm not going to claim it intersects with when Botha was made skipper but I'm not sure how to finish this sentence.
