Good series but **** me the pitches were a let down.

Was really looking forward to these two bowling lineups trying to kill each other on fast, seamy wickets.

So they're replaying the highlights now on ABC grandstand and basically what happened post-DRS was Clarke saying "the hand is off the bat" and basically half the team saying "the hand is off the ****ing bat?!" and "bull****"

So they knew.

This happened anyway.

Ryan Harris had given a much better performance in England in the Ashes series. Was disheartening to see that no one talked much about him or gave an aging pacer(who was constantly battling with injuries) some credit for an exceptional performance, most people were interested in criticizing the Aussie team and discussing who is to be blamed for what. His overall performance in the series was one of the finest ever, I don't care if it was in a losing cause, it wasnt his fault that others around him were playing rubbish cricket. Sad that such a fabulous performance went unnoticed.

umm everybody recognized Australia's bowling prowess in Eng and nobody really said the 3-0 score was fair indication of the actual cricket played in the series.

It was a fair indication of the actual cricket. Australia's batting, with the exception of Old Trafford, was absolute ****.

Was driving and listening to the finish this morning. Though it was over but Rhino stole it. I was shouting in the car like an idiot. A great series win and I hope Rhinos knees can give us some more quality bowling to watch. The 1000 runs in 8 matches by Warner snuck up on me. What a summer.

Congratulations Australia

I think overall their bowling was better, although someone must have a serious talk with Proteas physio - I mean two test matches with bowlers breaking down.

Still not convinced with Duminy as the "main" spin option .

Holy ****. Was out all day so I recorded the highlights and avoided finding out about the result. I was cheering for the Aussies but it's tough to not feel for some of the Saffa's, particularly Steyn and Morkel. They'll be the guys who got out when they were almost there, but in the end the top three falling in the first six overs was what cost South Africa.

Ryan Harris though. What a man. What a bowler.

Both teams battered, bruised, and dead on their feet. Three Test matches full of achievements worthy of ATG status. Surely one of the best 3 match series on record?

Nah, problem was none of the tests were all that close, it was close as a series but it ended up being a straight forward 'bat first, bat big, win game' series

Was suffering insomnia so got up and watched the last hour. Was screaming (very quietly to not wake the family) at the screen at some **** to bowl a ball or two at the actual ****ing stumps.

Just knew if anyone would get their **** together and attack the pegs it would be Rhino. Dudes a ****ing monster. To have transformed himself from the modest medium pacer he was for so many years into top shelf on his dodgy knees is remarkable. If he was a seppo the movie rights would be going for millions.
