the whole screaming at the batsman for touching the ball thing is pretty lame I reckon. It's all in good nature ffs

Proper dickhead stuff this. Great example why this team can be so dislikeable. Just straight out abuse.

Nah. Don't be touching the ball at all, especially when it's starting to reverse. Different if you look to the fielding team and ask them and they ok it.

Saw a bloke do that on 98 one day and had to go when the fielding team appealed (he was a **** tbf).

Only following this on cricinfo but

33.7

Johnson to de Villiers, no run, Faf has left off for a convenience break. Don't think I have ever seen that in the middle of an over

Straight out of the under 10s

"Don't touch it"

"Ok, walk another 10 metres and pick it up yourself you stupid ****"

Literally the most pointless thing a fielding side can do

Nah you're wrong. It's no place of the batsman to pick the ball up unbidden like that. Especially when it's reversing all over the shop after they've worked on it.

The sort of soft approach you advocate is why other nations have never excelled for long periods over the course of the game's history.

There is a difference between telling him not to do it and being wankers about it.

Fielding side should be ashamed of themselves but given that they appealed in the first place, obviously didn't realize that the rest of the world regarded them as dicks

That sort of stuff is amateur hour

yeah agree, like whatever, if you don't want him touching it just say so, you don't have say **** off you dickhead or whatever it was. Just unnecessarily nasty stuff, not needed.

It was straight out of the bogan handbook. Embarrassing. Mitch went on about it after the over too

Amateur hour is picking it up in the first place. Haven't a clue WTF he was thinking doing that. Was a weird (strange?) few moments all round really, following all that up with a squirt break.
