Woke up to the rain delay which was annoying but nice to see Clarke push on. Highlights should be good. Sounds like Smith was smashing them.

clarke with 27 tons and 27 fifties. who else has at least 1:1 conversion rates with say 20+ test centuries? sir matthew hayden AM's 30 and 29 come to mind
Bradman (29:13), Hayden (30:29), Azharuddin (22:21) and Clarke (27:27) are the only batsmen with 20+ test centuries with at least 1:1 ratios.

If we drop the qualification from 20 to 15 tons, Michael Vaughan (18:18) and Clyde Walcott (15:14) join that group.

He do like to go big when he gets in don't he? Massive ups for Pup. You gotta get him early doors because he's almost Laraesq in his ability to just get in the zone and keep piling the runs on when he gets set.

He seems to go big even more if sides try to bounce him out early. It's as if going through all the pain makes him even more determined to churn out another double.
