Alviro will come back in for de Kock IMO. They were apparently going to roll with Alviro opening and Elgar in the middle order before he went down with his virus; I don't think anything happened to suggest that was the wrong move.

Right call but pretty unlikely IMO. If McLaren's recovered from his concussion it'll be him I dare say, and if not it still seems like Kleinveldt is ahead of Abbott in the pecking order.

What a batting card. We lost 10-90 in 44 overs. Dools with 13 runs and SOS with a pair. I think Dools just gave Watson his spot back. Sleepy Marsh likely to stay. **** he's annoying. Need Clarke to snap out if his recent form and turn it on again.

Cape Town is supposed to assist spinners a bit. Would be a bull headed move. Particularly after a Pfeifer in the 2nd test.

I guess the bowling comes down to if Siddle and Harris are tired or were just handled well by SAs bats. I didn't see any of the game outside highlights so I'm not sure. Hate the thought of dropping Harris. Mitch has tons of wickets and We need Lyons variation. So Siddle is the candidate if we need a fresh Patto in the team.
We can keep it the same and just adding Watson will help assuming he will be bowling. Plus the batters need to be read the riot act again.

Like I said before the first game, this really comes down to whether or not Johnson can bowl his team to victory.

Its not dropping Harris because of form or anything. That would be stupid. Just get the feeling he might need some rest being an aging fast bowler who has played 7 tests back to back since the ashes started.
