Like I said earlier...there's an 80% chance of rain tomorrow (not just showers) and yet Captain Knob Head reckons his team needed to set a world record target against a batting line-up featuring Doolan and Marsh, among others

That wasted hour...how is that looking now?

It's malpractice

Well, I mean, he scored 1 and then decided to give Faf catching practice. Draw your own conclusions, I guess.
He hasn't done anything since Adelaide has he? And had a quiet series relatively otherwise. Just a tad concerning when the opposition will start catching Warners chances

Be interesting to see if Rogers can farm the strike well enough to shield Harris.

or vice versa

Hasn't scored more than 25 since Adelaide. Pretty sure every single one of the dismissals since has mostly been down to an indifferent shot from him, too.

EDIT: In Tests, that is.

Yeah, that's true I suppose. I definitely think that's turned around now though.

Personally I think that a bloke who bats 7, keeps to a good standard (so no, not you Dhoni), averages 46 at home and 26 away is a really bloody handy player to have around, poor away performances with the bat or not. I guess I'm just challenging the "low average because he throws it away in easy situations" perception that I've started hearing more of. Australia's batting lineup hasn't had all that many easy situations at five down abroad during his career and his performances abroad are exactly why his average isn't as high as it could be. Easy situations at five down at Adelaide Oval have come much more frequently, however. No doubt he scored loads of tough runs in the last Ashes series and even the previous home Ashes, but I don't think it's really all that representative of his career overall or an explanation of his record.
He didn't really do it in the 2010/11 Ashes though. Massive partnership day 2/3 at Brisbane with Hussey and slogged a 50 at Adelaide, other than that was as useless as everyone else.
