I tend to have a fair amount of sympathy for players who miss penalties. But that is two that Ozil has missed in horrible fashion. Hate, hate, hate it when players do a staggered run up and then shuffle the ball goalwards. Would have been better if he had Chris Waddled it. Bloody hell.

Neuer's save a couple of minutes before the pen was an absolutely world class save which TV hasn't analysed at all, by far the hardest type of save to make.

The penalty from Ozil was fairly hilariously piss poor albeit no worse than Messi's yesterday, Neuer just happened to go the right way.

TBF it was Ozil's clever run and skill that won the pen. But you never fancied him, he's such a poor finisher. Cazorla should have hit it.

I admittedly wasn't watching too closely yesterday but I thought Messi delayed long enough for Hart to commit before rolling it down the middle?

Yep. Would have been a crap penalty if Hart had stood still - but Messi put it there precisely because Hart had moved.

Yeah that's what the comms said, I didn't really think so though. Thought it was just a case of Messi can do no wrong in their eyes. If you actually look at the replays, no-one's reaction is that quick.

Well you've quite evidently got a hole in CM, and even moreso before you signed the cost-more-than-Thiago Marouane Fellaini. You've also got the financial capabilities to make such a signing -- again, even more so pre-Fellaini.
