Ponsford demonstrated on a couple of occasions that he could cope with Larwood. There's no reason for me to believe Ponsford doesn't have the ability to break even against quick bowlers.

Jackson's exceptional talent will see him carve up the pace bowlers with glorious leg glances and (sadly lacking the modern era) late cuts.

Fail to get Ponsford early, and watch as him and Lara put on a partnership worth about 500 runs.

And my batting depth goes down to 10, with genuine all rounders at 8 and 9. Hard team to bowl out for under 400.

This is turning out to be the most fun Draft ever.

Who's next?
Good concept. Have had to think a bit about my last few choices.

Well done Marcuss.

Budget (+W) 87 Matches, 6167 Runs, 44 Wickets.

Damn, only 76 Matches between the top 5, that has to be some sort of record. 3rd to last for the next round is really going to hurt.

I feel more or less all teams are equal (except GIMH who has picked pretty much the same team that lost last ashes 5-0 :p)

On the flip side, most of their batsmen are probably better keepers than your keeper.
