Not when he's brand new to the crease.Don't think so. in the second to last over NMac is usually a pretty good batsman to have on strike.
We almost scored 100 runs in 10 overs tbf. This is why accelerating towards the end is such a **** tactic
It's a good tactic as long as your set batsman don't get out the way that Williamson and Taylor did. Having said that, NZ still did a reasonable job of getting up to a decent total. 100 of 10 is great, but 130 off 10 could have been better. Still sub-par, but all it takes is a good bowling effort. This is why accelerating towards the end is such a **** tactic
We were up against two good spinners who bowled well so some credit has to go to India.Nah, i mean going at around 4 an over for the first 35 and then relying on accelerating to get you to a good score. Never works against good death bowling.
yeah and their field sets during the middle overs were good and they bowled well to them.We were up against two good spinners who bowled well so some credit has to go to India.
Nah, disagree. Had they stayed in longer, we wouldn't have got 292. They'd just be using up the deliveries of McCullum, Anderson, and Ronchi.yeah and their field sets during the middle overs were good and they bowled well to them.
Had either of Taylor or Williamson stayed in we'd have another 20 runs.
yeah we were, but we didn't exactly try to put any pressure on them either. Of course that brings the risk of losing wickets, so its 50/50 i guessWe were up against two good spinners who bowled well so some credit has to go to India.
Yeah 97% of you reported either a strong or very strong desire to see a new Cairns.I definitely got my sky TV subscription value for the month out of that innings anyway due to Corey's efforts.
