the pitch looks great for bowling.....SL have batted well so far....if they can cross 250. Pakistan should find themselves in serious trouble

A true optimist you are, I think it's more a case of brilliant bowling and rather placid batting that has brought about some dismissals, not entirely confident the Sri Lankan attack will extract as much out of the pitch anyway.

I am surprised that P Jayawardena's average is only 31. Looks a much better batsman than that.
poor start to his career probably contributes, but yeah

Holy ****, brilliant review, nearly fell off my chair when the hawkeye showed that going over the stumps, looked dead on every other replay

Solid day from both teams, Sri Lanka batted well for the most part given the excellent bowling, while obviously Pakistan were excellent, flat pitch, but good bowling will be rewarded.

This and the next partnership are crucial, 350 is probably about par IMO, Pakistan's batting needs to be put under pressure with a decent total

I only watched his opening and 2nd spell but he looked pretty good, considering the conditions.

Looks like the deck is going to spin big on day 4/5 which I think will sway it Pakistan's way. Ajmal and Rehman should be able to utilise that more than Herath and Perera will. In the balance though from what I saw this morning (granted it was only the last session), if Pakistan can get either Matthews or Jayawardene early and blow the tail away restricting SL to under 300 they would probably be in charge.

?

Both teams played well on a flat deck. Good bowling, reasonably disciplined batting. Agree with Maximas, 350 is par, and more than that and it'll be too much scoreboard pressure for Pakistan, given they need to go for the win.

He's a much better bowler than Rahat who looks awfully toothless.

Great seeing Ajmal finally getting some wickets though.A good first innings lead, whoever gets it,could pretty easily define the winner which is why SL need to be dismissed as early as possible today.

Pakistan have had no luck with the DRS, both LBWs looked pretty dead that were reviewed but the original decision ****ed them over. Sri Lanka stonewalling now it seems, they used the heavy roller this morning in an effort to try and break up the pitch further, I think the pitch will turn a lot later in the match so the first innings lead will be very important, batting last will be a nightmare I'd say.
