Most classical and perfect batsmen = Jacques Kallis = walking cricket manual! Want to teach someone how to bat perfectly and classically...? Have them watch a JK hundred...that's if they can stay awake long enough :p. And yes...I am being serious.

Hey Dawood. Missed you about the place lately.

Have you seen much footage of Greg Chappell at all? He was a very fluent player to watch

Watched Salim Malik bat at the SCG in 1995, and I must say (disregarding his scandals for a moment) that he looked sensational. Particularly his footwork to Shane Warne which was perfect (until he got out).

Ijaz Ahmed stole the day with a century, but I only remember Malik's cameo.

Provided that batting has improved in absolute terms as time has gone on, the most classical batsman is actually Chris Martin.

Argument against batting improving over time.
Now would you believe it, this bloke just took a billion wickets in the Ashes.

The normal awards that everyone else has
It was that leg-glance forward of square, or through mid-wicket, that always made Mark Waugh look a million bucks.
And the ease he played through cover and point, off the back foot. All the time in the world.
