It's out of the question to remove NZ players from any form of limited overs cricket.

England can do it if they like but their players are paid more than All Blacks. It's just not fair to expect these guys to forego an income source like that. Especially the guys like Boult who clearly are extremely hard working and already very skilled bowlers.

You just have to trust that they can adjust their games, and be careful with making sure that you force rests upon them every once in a while and manage their workloads.
The other side of the coin is it allows your up and comers and journeymen etc. etc. the chance to make a decent living and possibly even get ipl contracts, which imo is more fair than weakening your test team by having your players do a Southee.

I reckon Jimmy may well be the third fastest bowler in the country after Milne and Bennett. Mitch M, Boult and Gillespie can get it down there but not with any consistency.
Ferguson needs silver or bronze in your little event, that's his whole deal -

Yeah I saw that, the U19s handled him without any dramas, but I was surprised by his ER for the tourney overall. Probably get an Aces white ball debut on Tuesday.

I forgot about Ferguson. Looks like he's well in the Milne/Bennett category somewhere. Will be a fun shock bowler to have around the traps if he can show he's good enough.

Bennett does get a big hoof into the danger area sometimes, better watch that -
That's quite an issue, isn't it?

There were times when Best was bowling rather well in the test series, but they were often followed by an unofficial warning from the umpire and then he lost all rhythm. Really can't afford to have a bowler like Bennett lose rhythm - it must be pretty freaking difficult to build anyway with that action.

Yeah, his ER was surprisingly good, and (to me) he batted surprisingly high , around 7.
He can play, no doubt. His default length is short of a short length, which can be economic at club and A level, but doesn't pass muster higher.

Woah, Although that is extreme! Even though I just posted that I notice that he runs down the wicket, I've only just watched kippax's clip.
OK, this is an anomaly. He generally doesn't get off the pitch in his follow through, but this is the first time I have seen him put a hoof THERE!
And I've watched quite a lot of his spells.

What I liked about Milne the other night was he was bowling full a lot more than he has for CD in recent games. There were length and short of a length deliveries but it definitely looked like a concerted effort to get the ball up there, and I like that. When you can swing the ball at pace it's better to err full rather than short. Bond is all about good areas and giving the ball a chance to swing above all else whenever he talks to the media about how he makes plans with our bowlers so it might be his influence. Unless Milne is bowling a genuine bouncer he should keep it up imo since he's not quite accurate enough yet to sit on the back of a length and hammer away at the splice/gloves/handle.
