I would say 285 was a good score but then I did think Ryder, Williamson, Taylor, Anderson and even McCullum's little cameo were all very good innings. If we want someone to play the anchor role, we have Williamson or even Taylor who can both go about that very well without ever needing to be 3 (29). It was a poor innings from someone who's usually a very good limited overs player. It is a little sad that we've known for a long time that he's incapable of rotating the strike yet he's done nothing about it.

Absolutely, Tui have got some serious mileage out of this. Between the 'Yeah Right', the women at the brewery ads, the Super Rugby matches in Maungatinoka (sp) etc, their marketing team is worth every penny they're paid. And they charge you 25 nicker for those awful orange shirts as well, which would cost $5 a pop at the most to produce. If the $100k didn't go the other day, it never will
Shame about the god-awful beer.

Could put the top 10 most popular beers into homogenous packaging and no-one would be able to distinguish them. Beer is 99% marketing.
I prefer lagers over anything that describes itself as a pale ale. And the top 10 are split along those lines so I would disagree with you that you can't distinguish them at a high level. But differentiating between lagers and ales gets harder.

I used to drink Lion Red. I miss it. The only NZ beer you can get over here is Steinlager, which I'm not a huge fan of.

Anyhoo, a glorious victory! :D

Well said. Id wager Budweiser and Heineken are the top two in the world and both, especially Bud, is weasel piss. Tui is decently drinkable I spose

I have a few craft beers I stick to and when I'm not drinking them I just go with Ranfurly. If I'm drinking crap beer it damn well better be cheap, and heineken, steinlager, stella etc are not.
