I think Pakistan are keen to play them in the UAE as well but the BCCI are refusing on the grounds of "we don't play Tests at neutral venues". It should count as a forfeit on the ICC Test rankings as far as I'm concerned as that's a rubbish excuse. Security concerns are understandable, but objecting to Pakistan trying to keep cricket alive in their country by setting up a base somewhere else for the time being is terrible.I miss India v Pak so much

If they said that then I'd be fine with it. But they said, and I quote "There is no way we’ll play at a neutral venue" (source). That's frankly not good enough.
The bloke in question is an underworld don by the name of Dawood Ibrahim (may have to google him up if you need background on the case because it will derail the thread). It is a very sensitive issue and I'd be very surprised if they weren't under orders from the Indian Govt to keep their mouths shut because it could have far reaching repercussions. No fan of the BCCI at all mind, they are idiots in general but I'm fairly certain they aren't averse to playing Pakistan somewhere other than at UAE but that is very unlikely to happen. England would be the only realistic option because of the large Indian/Pakistani contingent there but after the Asif/Butt/Amir saga even that is no longer a possibility.
