Not a great day so far from United's POV.

The early overhyped Southampton have tanked a fair bit.
Have you seen their recent fixture list ffs? I mean yeah, they've done worse than I thought they would but they're tanking because they had 3 games in a row against Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea and have recently played Chelsea again, Spurs and Everton.

You're largely right, but reverse was true when they were doing well at the start of the season with easier set of fixtures. It had to balance out.

I know you're ripping the piss but I'm genuinely wondering if Walcott through the middle is the best option for Arsenal in the event of Giroud being injured. Part of me's wondering whether it's actually the best option regardless, reckon he'd score ****loads with Özil hitting him with passes all game.
I think Wenger likes a target man who can hold the ball up, but yeah, it could work. Could play Cazorla, Özil and Wilshere/Rosicky across the front three. Certainly wouldn't lack creativity.

Haha, Bendtner, WAG. Wonder how serious his injury is.

Yeah, should have thought that'll be that for Big Sam. Chris Hughton probably needs to start looking over his shoulder as well, Norwich looking decidedly stodgy atm.

Trips to Anfield and Old Trafford amongst those easy fixtures btw. Just stop now.

Walcott would get goals but we'd be a worse team for it. The reason we've been so successful this year is because Giroud's a ****ing beast with his back to goal and his hold up/link up and two touch sort of play is great. Walcott doesn't have that.

It's a game they really want to be winning but with the way Palace have been going recently that's not a bad point for Norwich.

Neither does anyone else though. We're talking about options when Giroud is injured.

Hard to see where they're going to get a win from though. Just don't score enough goals. They've only scored more than one goal in a match twice in the Premiership this season.

You mean when Furball said "part of me considering whether it's the best option regardless" - to which I was replying that it's categorically not

That's 2 matches you know out of the first 12. What were the rest 10 ?

Anyway, Your previous post was factually wrong, and even if it was right doesn't change the fact that they have definitely tanked since November. And the fact that some were overhyping them early on.

They are a decent mid table side.

All been down-hill since they got rid of Holt:@

Can't quite see why the comm's said Soldado should score from there, can't expect your Place-kicker to score in any other way.

Grolty has done very little at Wigan though.

Still can't believe Paul Simpson had him, Marc Tierney and Ben Davies in the same Shrewsbury team and failed to get promoted from League 2 in a season when 2 of the other rivals had point deductions. Scraped into the playoffs and lost in the final.
