Haha, I definitely would've picked another specialist spinner here assuming the pitch is anything like UAE pitches usually are, but Hafeez definitely counts as a spinner IMO. He's underbowled at times if anything; he has a really good Test and FC record with the pill. He doesn't look much but he's often effective, a bit like Jadeja I guess.

The entire tour is called that.

The matches will be held in the UAE from 11th December 2013 till 20th January 2014. The NIB Bank Presents Cool & Cool Cup 2013 will comprise 3 Test Matches, 5 One Day International Matches and 2 Twenty 20 Internationals.

Bhatti selection does not make sense if they wanted a right arm quick then Talha should have been the choice a more pure out an out quick.

They should have gone with more spinners. I am kind of glad that Dav Whatmore is going after this series. He hasn't been that great a coach for us. I hope we see Mohsin Khan returning.

yeah this is UAE you pick 2 spinners win the toss and bat first. Very strange tactics.

Rehman is easily the second best test match bowler in the country he should be playing 8 games off 10.

he should be playing at least 8 games out of 10 in the UAE, not sure about his utility outside the UAE though

Glad to see Bilawal getting a cap and Hafeez back in the side.

However Shehzad finally making his test debut is what pleases me most.He's been in decent form off late and deserves a chance in the test squad.

Pews your thoughts on Rahat not many people in Pakistan rate him I for one believe he has it in him to be a good bowler if his accuracy improves he swings the ball at good pace albeit it swings from his hand mostly then late.

Yeah I don't mind him; old fashioned swing bowler. I can definitely see why he's in the frame as he complements Junaid (seam bowler) and Irfan (pace and bounce bowler) pretty well in theory; he really needs to make sure he doesn't waste the new ball when he plays though. He's never going to be a gun but in the short-term with your attack the way it is I think he'll contribute to the whole.
