***Official*** India in South Africa 2013/14

Virat Kohli (c)
So my childhood heroes are now all gone. Started all the way back in 2007 with Lara but the last 2 years have been incredibly painful. All these guys going together is so depressing
Yeah Ponting, Dravid, Sachin and Kallis retiring is the final nail. I officially feel old.

Funny, I have just started following cricket when all these big ones retired. Wonder who is gonna make me feel old one day :)

And thank you, Kallis & SA.

When Dhoni was talking about kallis having the chance to pend more time with his family, it was almost as if he was thinking "I'm too old got this ****"
I predict he's going to retire within a year tbh

Cricket (and golf) is one of the few sports where the stars are still older than me. This isn't lasting very much longer.

My selection for the Australian tests.

Smith
Petersen
Du Plessis
Amla
De Villiers
Duminy
Peterson
Philander
Steyn
Abbott
Morkel

Phase in a new bowler at all costs and then start tinkering with the rest.

*Grown man just cried alert

Will miss him big time. South Africa will miss him big time. World cricket will miss him big time.

Definitely moving on to the new era now with all these greats retiring. Quietly but efficiently there are a number stars on the cusp of legend status which will be exciting to watch now.

Such a depressing defeat.

Well played SA, thoroughly deserving winners
iirc you expected and predicted it.Not a bad show by India..But for that Kohli fiasco it might have ended in a draw. But then Rahane wouldn't have got his chance to show what a gun he is.This was one of those occasions when all the SA bowlers fired together.Even in Australia last year they were not as good.Dlearly the no.1 team and showing why

btw a draw wouldn't have made much difference since the rubber is with SA already and the Test Ranking of both the teams will remain unaffected. thanks to Australia

Could not get through the post-match stuff.
I could, but I was the closest I've been to tears in a long time. And I've just watched a stack of heart-wrenchingly sad movies.

Don't understand much of that. Why put in a specialist pacer when in all honesty Kallis hasn't been close to a front-line member of the attack for a fair while now? Also, wtf is Du Plessis doing at 3.

Mine would be
Smith
Peterson/de Kock (Probably peterson though I think he'll get targeted and destroyed)
Amla
de Villiers
Faf
Duminy
van Zyl
Philander
Peterson
Steyn
Morkel

Marchant in for Morkel if he has issues with his foot.

My team

Smith
Petersen (Elgar pressurising)
Amla
Faf
AB
JP (van Zyl/Rossouw pressurising)
Robbie P (Harmer pressurising)
Philander
Abbott
Steyn
Morkel

Other options are if you go bat at 7/8 route and play McLaren/Parnell and then there is the thought of de Kock scoring some runs in the last few rounds of the Sunfoil series.

Keep the team that played this game. move the order up and slot in Q de Kock at 7...

Do we really need another bowler that can bat a little? Can not replace kallis with an all rounder. we need a batsman.
