With 12.1 overs to go, it seems a bit early, not? I must admit I have never really thought about the moment a nightwatchman is considered useful. I guess it depends a lot on having a decent one!

Runs still matter because if India wants to draw the game they will have to have a significant lead. This doesn't mean taking risks though but just being alert to run scoring opportunities. Pujara has actually done this nicely but Dhawan took an unnecessary risk and paid the price. His wicket makes the game interesting but I still think India will save it. The first hour tomorrow and the first hour after the second new ball will be important.

That session was even, maybe slightly South Africa's way in that 2 wickets gives them a shot, but I'm not too disappointed. Looked really tough when Philander and Steyn were bowling jaffer after jaffer and Vijay had just gotten out.
As usual Pujara is just calm as ****.
We should draw this. But FMD a draw is far from a lock. No doubt Shri knows this now.

Don't just blame Shri. I was quite vocal about this as well. Still think we will draw though. And Dhawan is an idiot. Said a long time back that he should not be on this tour, and we should play both Jadeja and Ashwin.

Can't quite understand the confidence with which people are saying it's a draw. Yeah, it's probably the most likely result, but you never know how the pitch will behave after a shower. And seriously, these two in the middle are our big hopes. If one of them goes early, I can see panic setting in. There really isn't much quality to come after that. Hope they promote Rahane to 5.
