Commentators saying "not a freekick, he's looking for it" has to be one of the most ludicrous sayings considering every modern player looks for the foul.

I hate football.

These four minutes seeming like the proverbial eternity.

The Arse having abandoned all pretence of attack probz not helping either.

Sort of win you need in a title race. Not sure you were worthy of the points but got the job done.

That's an absolutely immense win.Horrible viewing for the last 15 mins but going to St James Park with Newcastle in the form they're in, playing **** and winning is huge.6 tricky away points after the wheels had come off our season a wee bit. It's on.

Yeah, I said we needed six points from the Irons and the Geordies for the title to even conceivably be on and, tbf, here we are.

Comedic defending from the old Bar Codes for the goal tho, it must be said. Santon, Miller and Collocini all leaving Giroud to each other.

Great win that. Pretty horrible watch, but a really good defensive performance. Doubt many other teams will get 3 points away at Newcastle this season.

Good win for the Gunners. Could really do with as many points as possible prior to that horrendous run of games they have from Feb 8th.

Yeah, our next five games are all ones we'd be expected to win and think we need a minimum of 13 points from them, if not 15.

Maybe if Ivanovic had tried to make contact on the ball, rather than just try to pull Suarez shirt off they may not have scored, blight on the game.

TBF Newcastle defence was immense 89 of the 90 minutes, you only got one opening. Great ball from Walcott too.

I was impressed tbh. People talked about United winning ugly yesterday, but they just played like **** and got lucky. Arsenal today was a textbook ugly win.

Two openings, Walcott had one cleared off the line.
