*Official* Fourth Test at the MCG

Briony

International Debutant
Well Australia won a lot of tests so there are a lot of wins. But Australia gave up a lead and looked in trouble at non down with a 100 run lead and ended in winning by 8 wickets. Tremendous stuff.
True but England largely threw it away. They're playing like a beaten team and it's a dead rubber in any case. In our storied history there would be dozens of more celebrated wins.

Tangles

International Vice-Captain
In the scale of our test wins over the years maybe not really high up given that England seemed to have hoisted the white flag up some time ago. Just good for the moment and the four nil scoreline.
England put us under pressure and we responded very well. Good signs going forward for us even against a defeated team.

Riggins

International Captain
Oh Mitch got it!? Lyon for me for sure. The game was won in that session where England capitulated from a lead of 110 with 10 in the sheds to be out before stumps. Crucial contribution.

Cooks logic was 5 overs from Broad/Anderson then wait for it to reverse. And keep them fresh for that. Right. Spinner held back due to that and the end the pacers wanted. Lol

Hooksey

Banned
Well England pissed on the pitch after one of their wins in England.

I'd like to see pictures in the paper tomorrow of a fully 'hydrated' Aussie team taking turns on that slippery slide under the scoreboard.

Yeah, would have given man of the match to Rogers. 230 is one of those targets which could be awkward but he was the cool head which made it a formality, much like in his first ton. Both he and Lyon's contributions ahead of Johnsons either way, personally.
