Cullinan brilliant on the end of day Match Point. Has been consistently excellent. Am a fan now.
Yup. I've been saying for a while now that he's good. Speaks his mind. Talks sense. And disagrees with Manjrekar when the need arises. Both him and Manjrekar are pretty interesting to listen to.

Pat symcox and arun lal, on the other hand.... Oh, dear

I can't really stand Manjrekar. Yesterday he was like it's perfectly fine for the tail to collapse because it's not their job. WTF? Everybody has to bat, everybody has to field. Those are part of everyone's jobs ffs.

Could only catch bits of this match considering the rain delays and everything but seems like we are missing a second spinner here. From the few overs I saw of Jadeja he looked right at home in Durban. Kallis though, WAFG. A rock as usual.

Which of our 3 current starting pacers do you reckon would lose their starting spot for NZ series? Zaheer looks most vulnerable.

Zaheer's record in NZ is ridiculously good though, also it swings more in NZ compared to SA, which means Zak's bowling should be more favourable in NZ conditions than Ishant's. IMO Ishant would have to make way, he hasn't done too much wrong in these two tests, but I still feel he doesn't possess the required skills to be consistently effective. Bhuvi should also be brought back against NZ.

I don't think any of the three will be dropped. Zaheer picked up 5 wickets in the first test match and had 2 catches dropped in addition to that. Was pretty ordinary in the second innings there but you can excuse it. Backing him to pick up at least a couple tomorrow if there is any play. Shami has been fair without being spectacular and Ishant has had his usual one awesome spell per away series. I would drop Ishant for Bhuvi and bring in Ashwin for one of Rohit/Rahane.

1)Vijay 2)Dhawan 3)Pujara 4)Kohli 5)Rohit 6)Dhoni 7)Ashwin 8)Jadeja 9)Bhuvi 10)Zaheer 11)Shami

Although I like how you've gone with 5 bowlers, I am not a fan of Khan atm :P and I'd replace Rohit with Rahane since the latter has shown some great drit and determination so far.

Rohit is not going to be dropped. He' s secured his place for a year at least with those two hundreds (unfortunately). For that matter, I don't think the team will be changed at all. This might be the same team that plays against New Zealand.

Why bother taking a squad of 17 players or so when you are barely going to try other players in place of those not doing so well?

Khan has to be part of the NZ tour if he is fit. He'd be the first bowler you'd pick, maybe even the first player.

I can't believe this series is almost over. So many twists and turns are going to be left unanswered. I didn't watch much play yesterday, but what was the general feeling of Kallis batting at a strike rate below 35?

After India were bowled for 338, I thought a win was unlikely. When Kallis came in they were in a bit of trouble (or right after), so he did well to stabilize them but overall I'm happy that his innings is taking a while. With that said, it clearly is superior to getting bowled out.

I think Cullinan is right in that the match has degenerated into "the Kallis show".

Neither team trying super hard to win.

Kallis and Duminy went at less then 2 rpo.

SA could pick it up today though, and they should try to.

The pair is similar to Walter and the Dude.

Unrelated question, is there some way to find out the most man of the match awards in tests involving two cricket teams? Like Aus Vs Eng or Ind Vs Pak for example?

Edit: I mean using cricinfo.

Into the 90s now. Really hope he accelerates after the 100.

Can I just say he Shouldve batted a bit more quickly without needing to mention he's a great cricketer? Ok
