Peterson looks like the kinda bowler who will inexplicably get Clarke out 4 times in the upcoming tour.
Nah he's a really easy bowler to use your feet to. He had problems with Jadeja because his trajectory made getting to the pitch difficult and Clarke's not used to playing spinners from the crease, but Peterson's a lot slower through the air without getting much curve so I think Clarke will murder him.

Morkel bowling way to short. Only ball he pitched up all spell virtually, last ball of session, caused problems.

You should not drop your spinner when he doesn't take one (LOL) wicket in his last two overseas test matches (Sydney and Joburg) :@
So bad. ****ing Ashwin. Would be so ****ing handy for the team if he was a reasonably serviceable bowler overseas. As opposed to useless with the ball.

Tahir and Peterson are just woeful when starting a spell deadset. Half trackers or full bungers.

****ing warm up ffs.

Ashwin played at Adelaide, and I definitely remember him picking up at least one wicket.

Though perhaps that should be discounted as the batsman was rumoured to be under the influence at the time

Yeah so true. Especially important with Tahir as it really puts him under the gun right away, and as we all know he can fall apart completely if he's down on confidence.

No problems with Dhoni going after Peterson here. Cash in before he eventually gets out to Steyn.

Yeah Peterson is absolute ****house. I hadn't watched him much before this series and I assumed he was like Panesar quality. Good god I was wrong.

To be fair, he's only played four overseas games so far and they've all been in Aus/SA, particularly difficult countries to bowl spin in.. I don't think we've seen anything to suggest he won't be a threat in Sri Lanka, UAE, West Indies, Bangladesh or even England if he bowls how he has in India. That's going to account for a pretty large majority of his Tests by the time he retires. It's going to be a hard slog on the NZ tour coming up if he gets picked, but that's true for any spinner unless the batsmen just can't read you or you're Warne.

I was with you, been a big Ashwin defender. But day 5 Jo'burg killed me. Had to take a wicket.

I think there is very little chance of an Indian win in this match. Second day almost getting over and still a single innings is yet to get over. Dhoni being the defensive captain that he is, will not enforce the follow on or give his bowlers enough time in the second innings to bowl the Saffers out. It is most probably a draw.

Just to be clear here. If India's innings were over by now India would have LESS of a chance of winning this test, not more.
