So if this track is a featherbed the game may be decided by who gets the overhead conditions and exploits them before any bad weather comes. Could make it interesting.
Can't see SA collapsing or even if they did I can't see India enforcing the follow on, they'll definitely not want to bat last here. I'd back SA if India made SA follow on and ended up needing 150 on the last day. In any case, India will have to get to a decent score first. SA have bowled very well and given the nature of the pitch/India's bowling, they'll want about 400 here. Long, long way to go.With this pitch, you'd have to think that a winning side will only bat once. Can India's attack bowl three days on the trot?
From cricinfo: Dale Steyn" with a strike rate of 384 odd for 1 wicketDale Steyn series average tracker : 201
What ? Out of the youngsters, after Pujara, if anyone deserved to be in the test team it has to be Rahane. Has a good technique for overseas conditions and a really good temperament.Have both Jadeja and Ashwin as part of a 4 man attack in overseas conditions? I'm definitely skeptical about that. Hope I am wrong about Rohit and Rahane. In fact with Rohit it is a patience/temperament thing more than inability to play in tough conditions. I was happy when he showed he wanted to bat and bat in the first ODI but he has since reverted to type. With Rahane I am jut not convinced he is really good enough. I'd take FC records with a pinch of salt TBH. Badrinath, Venugopal Rao....the list of domestic bullies who were garbage at international level is long. Hope Rahane too proves me wrong though.
Quite similar to SA in the previous match.tons of plays and misses. india riding a huge wave of luck.
Disagree. As I said, I hope I am wrong. What ? Out of the youngsters, after Pujara, if anyone deserved to be in the test team it has to be Rahane. Has a good technique for overseas conditions and a really good temperament.
Ashwin looked a bit ineffective in the previous game, there is nothing wrong in giving Jadeja a go, if the pitch doesn't assist he will at least keep bowling accurately and not give away any easy runs. Ashwin the better spinner by miles, but don't see much wrong with Jadeja's selection either according to the conditions and also the number of right handers in the SA batting line up.india preserving ashwins record lol
I don't mean to keep harping on it, but 60 overs now for Steyn without a wicket. Gone for plenty of runs too. Against India. In SA.
What the hell's going on?

I'm assuming you mean Pujara?I've been expecting more of a Dravid style, but Jadeja is a different kind of solid so far.
People were making similar comments about MJ at Perth - though I think Steyn is a bit more obviously out of form just ever-so-slightly.I don't mean to keep harping on it, but 60 overs now for Steyn without a wicket. Gone for plenty of runs too. Against India. In SA.
