I agree that City are the best team.. in attack. Defensively they seem to leak goals quite easily and away from home they haven't performed so well. I don't mind them being favourites though, someone has to be and I'm sure they have the potency and confidence that if they let in a couple of goals, they'll just score more.

I'm pretty happy that Spurs are just 2 wins (well really 7 points, cause of goal difference) behind first place after the way some people have treated Spurs performances this year. I maintain that we've only put in 3 poor performances and the top teams have all had one ordinary game too, hence why we are 2 games back. Man U will be happy too, just 8 behind, they are definitely still a big title chance.

Not sure about Spurs after appointing Sherwood. Doubt any of the other teams up there will lose sleep over it. May work and be a masterstroke but how often does a totally untried manager work at the top of the Premier League?

Yeah I'm not sure there will be many gun footballers joining Spurs to play under him. I think we should have just signed him for the remainder of this season and then re-access then. I did however enjoy his tactics in his first match in charge, so hopefully the 2 strikers thing continues, Paulinho+Sandro will be back and they will help out in defense way more than the players we had the other day.

So did the Irons, one understands.

His contract is relatively short term, so it's low risk in that sense. I guess there aren't any high profile/available managers out there for them to go after.

Sherwood a better appointment than Hoddle though imo, they did well to avoid him. He was clearly desperate to get his filthy fat little hands on the job once again. And it probably would have turned out hilarious.

It kind of makes sense to go back to basics after the AVB experiment didn't work out. Reckon they'll get a short-term boost but his limitations will start to show before too long. Bit like Dalglish at Liverpool.

Interesting thought. I struggle to think of one "short term boost" appointment that hasn't turned out as a disaster/badly later on down the line.

Pards has worked out pretty well tbf, not that we really needed the short term boost all that much at the time.

I wish Fur ball would reply to my troll posts like Marcus's did today. Would be epic.
You're clearly just inadeqate in your trolling, sad really.

I think there's been a few care-taker managers work, but yeah most of them don't work out in the end, because, hey that's football. Like politics most careers will end in failure, Taggart and Shankly probably the exceptions.

DiMatteo still the only Chelsea manager to pick up the European Cup. Just one of many I'd have thought.

Do you actually do anything besides moan, get aggressive and then blame it on stuff going on in your life or pass it off as a joke?
Have you ever actually said anything original?
Fully sick of reading your ****.
You somehow manage to combine being an idiot with being boring.
After reading your posts, not only do I feel like I've wasted my time but I feel like I'm dumber for having done it.

Go away and leave me alone.

Hey not fair, just copying out FJs faults, you also forget I get massively drunk and incoherent. I'm a much bigger obnoxious **** then him, and I take pride in it.

Former Crystal Palace chairman Ron Noades has died aged 76.

He always seemed to have controversy follow him around, had a huge name in the game considering Palace have never really been a big club.

Quite probably the worst person in the history of our club. Will leave it at that.

Delighted that we won again today but rather than watching a tremendous 3-2 victory we were standing on the hard shoulder for 2 hours waiting for the AA. Someone decided boxing day was an ideal time to drive into the back of us, no injuries thankfully but great way to ruin the day.

Nice to see Arsenal aren't ballsing up making Fat Sam's Christmas miserable. Good to have Podolski back in the side.
