I think they just avoided de Villiers batting there because he'd been keeping wicket all day.
In saying that, I don't think he'll bat above five while he's keeping regardless. If Kallis is replaced by de Kock then de Villiers will move up to four, otherwise he won't, IMO.

Some odd things have happened in this test match.
A tie would be the dream result to round it off, with Morne Morkel hopping on his swollen ankle for the final few runs.

It was absolutely horrible captaincy from Smith to put Tahir and Steyn on at the end of the India innings. If we get to 400 here, and not win (which seems like more or less the trajectory) I'm going to break something. Smith is far too sentimental for his own good. Can still remember that over he threw to Ntini in his 100th match.

50/50 imo. We'll know India are worried if Dhoni slows down the over rate so SA don't get their full amount.

Still a long way to go here. there will eventually be a mini collapse... good game this. but only with sa needing 50 with six wickets in hand will I be able to relax.
