Haha PEWS saying the exact opposite to me the previous post.

Agree to disagree.
Haha as someone who has gone on the ride along with me, you must realise how frustrating it is for me though. I screamed until I was blue in the face about how his average flattered him and that, while he had potential, he needed to make some serious improvements to actually be a Test standard bowler (let alone the bowler everyone thought he'd become). Everyone disagreed with me, I was painted the village idiot, and then even when exactly what I predicted actually did happen everyone just decided he'd declined.

Not even saying I'm necessarily right, but how exactly can I win? :p

Ishant was a far different bowler when he started out though. Unreal how much he has regressed in virtually every facet of bowling. His shape at the crease doesn't feel all held together, the action is a lot more herky-jerky than what it was, his pace is comfortably down a good 7-8 klicks, the seam position has deteriorated. It's one of Indian cricket's great failings.

Don't agree about his pace. He was clocking 140s in Australia and still got spanked

Ashwin you ****. Feeling for Zaheer. Deserves a wicket

Seriously that's the worst possible thing that could've happened to Zaheer on his comeback. He's bowling like 2010-11 Zaheer... Trouble is the slip cordon has changed. Been saying fir a while now that we're missing Laxman and Dravid in the slips big time... As much, if not more than their batting

Our slips are a shambles atm. Kohli's dropped a fair few too of late, and all this is compounded by the fact that Dhoni drops a couple off the spinners every match.

I reckon they ****ed him up when he started playin lots of LO cricket. Not long after he debuted. Went from bowling a length which was awkward at test level to bowling either too short or too full and bugger all in between.
This is quite normal in India, and its a whole process,

1- pick a potential bowler, overhype him after just 1 good match if he does well,
2- If he continues to do well, make him play all the formats, he is paid so much, so there's no point letting him rest, make him work like a dog.
3- He's injured? no problem, let him recover and play the domestic matches where he will bowl 50 overs a week on wickets with no help and poor climate.
4- Oh, the guy is burnt out now, and isn't the same bowler, what next? nothing, the guy gets criticized journalists and everyone else for his poor fitness, lack of commitment etc.
5- and the most important, he gets the tag of an unfulfilled talent, someone who could have done better:dry:

The only difference with Ishant is that he is being backed by MSD who thinks he is good enough.
