Just thought I'd mention that our quest to "develop" Sodhi has given him a lovely, confidence-building 55 runs-per-wicket average early in his career.

Need to bat once and bat big on this. For some reason the groundsman has prepared a pitch with no pace assistance but has started to turn on day 1.

In other words, exactly the pitch the West Indies want.

would've been fine had we batted first.

I reckon if McCullum gets into commentary after cricket he's going to be our version of Ian Chappell - a fundamentalist attack merchant.

Ramdin scoring a ton would be so embarrassing.

god ramdin **** off. This is actually such gross batting. He's just flailing outside off
Positive signs for when we eventually bat, provided the groundsman hasn't ****ed us over with a spinners pitch. There haven't been many genuine wicket taking balls today, and we don't need to worry about swing from their pacers.

Did McCullum provide any rationale for bowling first on a slow dry wicket likely to break up and suit the Windies spinners? I know what Australia & India would have done winning the toss

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
It's like we're just expecting them to get themselves out but not making the effort to make sure it happens.

He just misread the pitch imo. No one would knowingly elect to bat last against two spinners on this.

Jamdin is going to ton up isn't he? Hope we return the favour with Devcich one day.

edit: actually that would involve Devcich in the test team, so no. Munro then.

No objection to Shiv cruising into the 70s. He's been class today, as usual.

Ramdin, on the other hand... Ugh. Pulling my hair out.
