Yeah, I know five seamers is a bit excess, but it would allow Kallis to focus more no his batting. They definitely should've played a better batsman than Tahir though. Even if it's Robbie P.
Yeah, that's why I didn't mind Robbie P in the side, or Botha going back, or Boje going back even further - even if Kallis, Hall and Duminy ended up bowling a lot of their overs, they could still at least theoretically contribute with the bat. Tahir's a bunny a poor fielder so if not only proves toothless but gets hit of the attack he's a massive liability for the whole game.

Oh ffs if that was the other way around it would have been so much funnier. Kohli you are a penis.

**** **** **** **** **** ****.

That will be the turning point of the match. No doubt about it.

Don't get Tahir, he absolutely bullies domestic cricket. It's not like a seam bowler where they're not quite quick enough to have their skills impose on better bowlers, or their MO is too reliant on pitch assistance which they don't get from International decks... the bloke just bowls well in domestic cricket and then rocks up and bowls genuine puss in Tests. Fullies, half trackers, nowhere near as much work on the ball.

I'm not defending the Tahir selection, but he would have definitely been picked for the last few days of the match, not day 1. SA, would love it if he could keep an end tidy though, so he's been poor so far in that regard.
I'm not really convinced he should be bowling at all on Day 1 when Kallis and Duminy exist. He's not been picked for Day 1 but he's bowling on Day 1 just because he's been picked, which is problematic.

Centurion 2010/11 was not much different from what we have on offer today. The batsmen have the sun behind their backs today though. From memory, Centurion was pretty gloomy and cold on that first day morning.
I think it was sunny, but it had been pouring in the morning so was pretty humid and the pitch had some juice in it.
