I know this is a bit tongue in cheek but I hope both sides see the remaining two matches as the deciders between them. Seeing them both go through the motions would be a real shame.

I was going to mention this actually. Not that many here will care, but I wonder what Richard's take on that is. I remember he (quite strangely IMO) kept insisting that two Australia/South Africa series (home and away) were actually one series because they were so close together. I imagine he'd probably be in here arguing until he was blue in the fact that these two series were in fact one series, and he would've been doing so when England "won" the home series too.

It doesn't work that way, they were happy enough to claim the ashes in England, you can't suddenly change the rules after 130 odd years can you.
