How can Warne say Englands batsmen are better than this? They are objectively not better than this. They are this.

Ring the changes before the next series. Have a look at Rankin and Ballance next test match, Prior needs at least one ton and a fifty in the next two tests or he is out of the side for an extended period. Carberry needs a score before end of the series or just give another player a chance. KP needs to decide whether he wants it anymore. Swann is still a good bowler, should stay without question. Anderson/Broad are still relatively fine as long as they get a bit of rest.

Need to find a real 3rd seamer, a proper number 6, sort out the opener position and find a WK if Prior isn't the guy. Going to be a rough 18 months!

Heven't been too bad with 1-5 either.

Oh yeah it's certainly not down to chance, but they are better than this. We were saying the same thing with Ponting and Clarke three years ago (some of us, anyway)
