I hazard a guess
Well the rate may not be the best indicator, there's more tests so there's more of everything but I reckon the next test triple will be made by my nephew, he is 6 years old at the moment so we have to wait a few years till he is 16 at least. ....... hehehehehee5 in the 1930’s (Sandham 325, Bradman 334, Hammond 336*, Bradman 304, Hutton 364)
2 in the 1950’s (Hanif Mohamed 337 & Sobers 365*)
3 in the 1960s (Simpson 311, Edrich 310* and Cowper 307)
1 in the 1970’s (Rowe 302)
4 in the 1990’s (Gooch 333, Lara 375, Jayasuriya 340 & Taylor 334*)
...and now we have 8 triples in the last 8 years…(since May 2002)
329 Inzamam vs NZ (2002)
380 Hayden vs Zim (2003)
309 Sehwag vs Pak (2004)
400* Lara vs Eng (2004)
317 Gayle vs SA (2005)
374 Jayawardene vs SA (2006)
319 Sehwag vs SA (2008)
313 Younis vs SL (2009)
So at this rate, who will score the next triple???
