So despite generally being far more competitive at home than away in recent test matches, we haven't actually managed a home win vs a top-8 side since Dunedin against Pakistan in November 2009, aka the Shane Bond test. Right?

Obv since then we've had two creditable overseas test wins.

Would be really good to break that drought.

yeah. I mean, it's probably good captaincy to trust your 3rd seamer to be more of a threat, and we haven't really needed to stem the flow of runs. It's probably a selection issue.

There's equal chance that Anderson would've flaked a wicket or two really had he bowled a few more overs.
