Trott is the most worrying from an England pov. Technique badly exposed and there's no way he can control leg side flicks walking like that.
Yes absolutely he is. It's once again the manner in which he was dismissed, it will play on him mentally to keep being troubled by the same bowler and the same deliveries.

Tangles

International Vice-Captain
A normal batsman batting middle is inside the line of a left arm quicks short one so pulling is very viable because you are already there. Trotts double trigger movement puts him further inside and on the move at contact. Since his whole technique is built on it it's not easily fixed. If your going to fling the bat at a leg side short one at least go hard with a cross bat.

Thats actually ****ing hilarious.
That says a fair bit about you tbh.

There is nothing remotely funny about it. And as someone else mentioned, when KP refuses to sign any autographs for the rest of the series he'll get called an arrogant **** but who can blame him.

Edit:

You were talking about the KP thing right??

Edit 2

Now I read it again you were talking about Wiffs Titanic joke weren't you........and you're right, it was ****ing hilarious.

My bad.

If I had followed English domestic cricket and had any idea of who was waiting in the wings as a viable alternative I'd punt Trott now.
Taylor or Compton

But TBH there aren't all that many batsmen waiting in the wings trying to force their way into the side. You have Ballance and Bairstow on tour, and then only really Varun Chopra, Sam Robson, Moeen Ali or Alex Lees in terms of top 3 batsmen sitting in the performance squad, and arguably only Robson could lay claim to being truly deserving/ready for a call-up.

Yes but that one guy accounted for half our top six, and it's also the unsettling effect that can have on the rest of the team. To be fair, he wasn't backed up by donkeys, Harris put in a couple of useful bursts too. You also don't have to be bowl over 90mph to be aggressive and unsettle the opposition. It was far from a minefield, I've already said I'm not excusing the batsmen from any mistakes.
I agree with you about the impact of someone bowling with pace and throat throttling intention. You don't even have to be all that accurate (and Mitch certainly isn't - neither was Thommo though I'm not comparing the 2 beyond that). You just have to do often enough for batsmen to see it as a threat. I think Rhino did more than support Johnson though. He got 2 of England's best 3 and opened England up for Johnson to terrify the rest.

Yeah, agree the KP autograph thing is poor form. It can happen when people are on the sauce but to his credit he was playing up to the crowd and entertaining them. It's not the worst thing ever seen in a crowd by a long stretch, but it's just cod ordinary.

Sorry there's no-one but there is nobody but the batsmen to blame/credit. That was a procession of just ****ing pathetic dismissals. One or two in an innings would have been bad enough, but no not these ****ers a hatful in the space of a few overs. Lyon's wickets were complete gifts, the sort of gimmes you might see in a ODI (when trying to milk the bowling) but shouldn't happen in Test cricket. England managed to waft and poke at completely innocent, innocuous deliveries. I mean Swann actually did well to get out to his delivery, short but not short enough, leg-side rubbish. The only way he could get out to it was with the pathetic prod he conjured up.
Christ, not this rubbish again. Although it's my fault for being surprised I guess. And for replying.

Is this really worse than repeatedly singing that someone's bowling is ****e?
Yeah, or playing that ****ing trumpet. Or invading places like an all-conquering horde

Am off to the game today. Hopefully I won't hear too much of the trumpeter, and will see a lot of sad English faces. If they can be bothered turning up, that is.
