The 5th wicket to get Johnson out was a beauty.

It's a tacit admission that the selection of Finn, Rankin and Tremlett was a botch of the first order. They must know that Tremlett offers not a lot nowadays, but apparently Finn and Rankin are even worse.I'm surprised they played Tremmers tbf, yes he's awesome on his day but hasn't been selection worthy for a while. They must have totally lost faith in Finn to have chosen him, maybe big Bres will be back later in the series..
Nice link. Hadn't seen the highlights - there was no package on Sky last night until 1am (which I've recorded for digestion later). The 5th wicket to get Johnson out was a beauty.
I particularly liked Watson's anguished shout as he guided one into the slip cordon. Reminiscent of 2010/11.Nice link. Hadn't seen the highlights - there was no package on Sky last night until 1am (which I've recorded for digestion later).
And yes - that was a decent ball that one.
Yeah, I think that will be a trademark of Watsons career when he is done......"Oh Noooooooo"I particularly liked Watson's anguished shout as he guided one into the slip cordon. Reminiscent of 2010/11.

I always look forward to hearing your take on the game.An excellent performance by the blonde medium pacer today. I couldn't have hoped for more than to see the chirping optimistic Aussies collapse. Bless.
I look forward to seeing Australia's plans for England. I wonder which Mitchell Johnson will turn up tomorrow. I hope Burgey and co say a prayer tonight that Cook and Trott were in excellent form during August, otherwise they are going to look pretty silly when Cook clings to the crease, doesn't go for any wide ones and scores. Knowing my luck he'll get out for 12 chasing a wide ball from Harris...
I really hope Aussie can contain England to 350. An innings victory at the Gabba would be too much...
You are seriously stupid
Haddin's good work on day 1/25 can be undone by a simple dropped chance or a brain fade with the bat at any time
But you wont recognize that #neverwrong
It may have something to do with his front arm, it drops pretty early. I'm not entirely sure though.I agree with the expression that he's a much better bowler when he pitches it up. Unlike, say, Finn or Tremlett, Broad has always looked like his natural length was fuller, skiddier and looking for away movement. When he came into the fold in 07 I was praying he wasn't going to be moulded as a new Harmison-type deck-hitter.
As someone who doesn't bowl fast, can someone explain to me the psychology of being unable to resist bowling "unnaturally" short? Is it purely the desire for economy, or to inflict pain (or a convenient ****tail of the two)?
Action definitely contributes towards it plus I don't think that he is the sharpest knife in the drawer eitherIt may have something to do with his front arm, it drops pretty early. I'm not entirely sure though.
