***Official*** West Indies in India 2013

Biff, not Boof. And the lack of footwork is what I think ties them together. Sehwag always had the least footwork of all, but cutting out the drive and learning to work the ball legside more regularly would have been worthwhile imho
Heh, well I still disagree but really did wonder where the hell you were going with the Lehmann comparison, totally misread "Biff"

Maybe he didn't want to change because he enjoyed playing the way he does and lives for those match winning knocks of his. Who knows.
Even if it becomes increasingly difficult to pull off such knocks while also putting the team at a significant disadvantage when those knocks don't come off? Ok, but that seems to be an even harsher take on Sehwag's character.

Expecting Sehwag to change his game simply doesn't work, he's tried the go-slow approach every now and then and it's generally ended in an even bigger failure. Sehwag has also never been the kind of player who would plunder runs after runs in domestic cricket, which is why this "go back to domestic cricket and perform" thing will never work for Sehwag, we've seen Zak, GG and Bhajji go and put in legitimate performances but I don't see Sehwag doing the same. Sehwag is also the only player who I can actually see smashing a 100 in SA out of no where despite his terrible last couple of years. He's just always been that kind of player where form, technique and all that other stuff kind of just come and go after each innings (story of his entire ODI career).

Whatever anyone says, Viru will always remain one of my fav players, only other guy who I would actually wake up early/stay up late simply to watch him bat apart from Sachin. I just wish his average hadn't fallen below 50, maybe they will give him a couple of easy games to fix that sometime in the future, of course there is every chance he will end up failing in that because he can't be bothered .

Didn't Sehwag talk about giving the first hour to the bowler and then smashing them up later around th WC time? I think he just aged and his glory days are behind him.

I saw Dominic Cork beating the "two tier" system drum again!!..i guess he didn't see England whitewashed vs Pakistan? he didn't see Australia whitewashed in India and haven't won a series in ages? i guess he didn't see Pakistan humiliated in SA? or India beaten 4-0 twice in Aus and England? but oh no!!..we lose 2-0 with a side that is clearly not the best we could have picked and "WI shouldn't be playing against big teams"..oh p/ss off!! 8-) .
I guess he might be looking at the West Indies record over the last 10 years against teams not called Bangladesh or Zimbabwe - you know the one that reads played 81, won 5, drawn 27 and lost 49. No matter how you spin it, that is a **** record.

This could be the dumbest thing I've ever seen on a cricket field. These ****s trying to walk off carrying the stretcher.

It's 50-50 on Jaydev Unadkat. He's one of India's best young limited-overs bowlers in the scene, stands tall, gets decent bounce, and bowls left-arm-over-the-wicket. He's also slow, and clueless on a flat deck. If the likes of Umesh and Aaron are too unstable for ODIs, he may be the one to throw the ball to, even if he's at least 10K slower than these two.

Attack the other side. Charles may just run away with the innings, but the other side can be run through.

This isn't poor bowling, bar those loose wide ones from Unadkat. They're pitching it in the right areas, but the pitch isn't giving much assistance. Most of the boundaries are being hit by the in-form Charles, who enjoys playing against India. The outfield is also very fast.
