New Zealand A Tour of India and Sri Lanka

I'd agree with Chops standing taller in his stance. See so much of that stance as all 3 brothers were identical, but this looks different.

It just occured to me but where is Hira, is he considered to be too senior for the A side?
Or is he considered to be solely a T20 specialist.
Imo if Taylor had of got his way over selections and kept the captaincy he would be the incumbant LO spinner
Yeah, I looked up both Hira and Beard today on the archive trying to think of a decent LO finger spinner on the fringes. They both have decent records in T20 only, and pretty awful in other forms. Nethula is the best spinner (of any sort) in NZ domestic 50 over stuff (below the established/experienced guys; Vettori, Patel, Martin)

He must have really pissed some people off.

What was Doull relaying to TV audiences last year, "Nethula chronically makes excuses" I recall it was.

If you're looking to shed a rep as a flighty and soft-natured CD player (and appeal more to the hard-bitten Otago/ND alliance), he'd do well to stop indulging in constant iterations of his action and settle on something -

That eleven is the perfect storm for Astle to return to the top of the order where he belongs. :p

Nah they went with Ronchi again. Cut across a defensive shot and nicked a reasonably good ball, duck.

A similar video of Milne would be very interesting. From his T20 debut to the very un-Bond-like straight up and down from early last season (iirc) to the hybrid now... and I think there was at least one other iteration in between.

While we can't know for certain, I don't think there's any particular reason to be worried. It's an A-tour and Milne was the most impressive bowler in the first 2 matches. It would make sense to bench him and give Bracewell a go.

Fairly good recovery from this pair. Will this be the day that the lower order biffers get a platform to launch from?

Devcich: Will play limited overs cricket for NZ, much to Hurricane's consternation.

Just wrote much the same thing over at the other thread, but I think also that he will be picked for the NZA squad given that Guptill is injured.

It is probably Devcich/Rutherford/Ronchi competing for the two openers spot given that Guptill is injured
