As i said when he was at the crows Tippett would have to be the second most overrated player in the comp. Sure his gpg stat may look good this year but when he's your target for such a high percentage of forward line entries the absolute pass mark is that amount.
yeah he really doesn't take enough contested marks tbh

Granted, btw, that Hawthorn's dominance mean he hasn't had the opportunities this match but the point still stands. If he plays Sydney shouldn't go in with two genuine rucks, plus White.
TBF to Sydney, both of our other forward options are injured.

Pyke is just a far superior version of White, a few good games against average opposition shouldn't secure his spot in the side especially when he doesn't do much for the balance of the team. where would you have Reid?

Reid would play instead of White, obviously. But he's not fit and shouldn't play this year.

You're stuck with White and Tippett in the forward line, but one of them can easily play the second ruck role with Pyke being the predominant ruck man because he's better when resting up forward than Mumford is.

You're better off bringing in a medium type that can still pressure in the forward line when it hits the deck. Tippett after half time is useless when the ball is on the ground because he can't run, so the Hawks just run it out.

Not sure what your point is here.
The point is, I think they kinda have to play all of Pyke, Mumford, Tippett and White in order to have a competitive forward line sans Reid and Goodes, and our premier swingman Roberts-Thomson.

Think White leaves after this season anyway.

I'm not sure you understand my point here.

Bringing in Reid and Goodes won't make you shorter.

I wouldn't be surprised to see McVeigh play up forward more for the rest of this season. It really should be Ryan O'Keefe as well but he probably has bigger fish to fry up the ground.

Bruce at pains to point out tonight how cherry ripe Sydney are for the taking. Said it many times.

If Bruce thinks you're cooked, you're cooked.
