Hmmm, yeah, maybe that's it. Might just be an Arsenal problem. Wigan would be a good example of what I was getting at mind you. But I accept there are far more teams that do it in reverse.

Either way, you definitely wouldn't want all of your hard games at once though. If you were a legit title contender and lost all of them then your season would be up in smoke.
I'm not sure what you want, I'm reasonably sure Taggart was complaining for all occurences, but the suggestion that it's fixed against Manu is classic fergie tactics, of us against the World. Reffing, fixture-lists, FA, TV, Radio, Press, all apparently conspiring against them.

Shame Moyes is clearly going to go down this really boring route.

There is a guy at Chelsea who is rather fond of it as well.
Oh he learnt it totally from Ferguson, interesting how badly it went down in other countries actually. Seem the Press more likely not to kow-tow there no matter who you manage, or who you think you are.

Because the media in Italy and Spain refused to suck Mourinho's **** and called him out for the arsehole he is.

There's a reason he's coming back to England.

And now that Arsenal have failed to sign Gustavo, right on cue Arteta is now out for the next month and a half. Get your fingers out you stupid ****s.

Time for predictions that will be quoted and laughed at come May.

Man City to win the league, Chelsea being overrated in my opinion because of Mourinho returning.

Spurs to finish above Arsenal.

Stoke to get relegated at long last.

I'd tend to go with Chelsea too. Mourinho factor is huge, he's just miles ahead of everyone else in tactics and man management, plus he has no scruples, always an advantage.

Citeh are a bit of a wildcard, they've gone through a huge overhaul very quickly. They have a great squad but I'll still be really impressed if Pellegrini manages to bring it all together in his first season. There's a lot that can go wrong.

United will surely go backwards, they've gone from having the best manager in the top four to having the worst. They have a bit of wiggle room though and I still expect them to be challenging for the title. Their squad lacks a bit of glamour but it's better than people think.

Fourth I'm finding impossible to call because there's so much transfer business left to be decided. Arsenal's squad is starting to look really thin, Spurs will probably lose a player they were massively reliant on last season. If Liverpool keep Suarez (which looks likely) they should see a big improvement on last season, but they're starting from a fair way behind. It'll become clearer in a few weeks but for now I'll go: if Bale stays, Spurs, if Bale leaves and Arsenal sign a couple of reinforcements, Arsenal. If Bale leaves, Arsenal don't reinforce and Suarez stays at Liverpool, I reckon they'll get it.

For relegation, Hull and Palace look doomed. Stoke should be favourites to go with them but my money's on Newcastle at 10/1. They were just SO bad by the end of last season and since then things have only got worse.

Happy that we've picked up Cissokho for some left-back cover. If we can somehow get Willian (dreaming, I know) or someone of similar quality, I will be very pleased with Liverpool's transfer activity.

I think Norwich will do quite a bit better this year. Have made several really decent looking additions, they should be fine.

Well they finished 11th last season, hard to see them going much better than that. They shouldn't go down though. Horrid to watch but they're really well organised with just enough quality going forward.

People clearly rate the influence of managers very highly because I still think Chelsea have some obvious weaknesses. Unless Van Ginkel is extremely good straight away I still don't really rate them in midfield with Ramires and (Chelsea version) Mikkel. Then there is upfront, again Lukaku may come In and be brilliant but if he is not then again I think they are a little thin in that department especially when Man Utd have Van Persie and City have loads of options. Maybe watching Madrid and all that came with it last year has made me underate Mourinho but I don't think he is that much better than anyone else.

They will lose less games against lesser than they have the last year or so but I don't think they will take the league. Not seen a single minute of pre-season but City just look to have the best squad and I rate Pellegrini extremely highly.
