*Official* Fourth Test at Chester-le-Street

Isn't it good bowling to target a batsman's weakness?
It is, but it's also **** batting to succumb in such an awful manner. This is Test cricket, FFS, he didn't need to play that, same with Cook. It's the same if you put a man out for the hook, and then the batsman puts it right to him, it's brainless idiocy.

I'm not debating there was a plan BTW.

Cook was gash batting completely, and it was uncharacteristic of him, but Trott definitely has issues on the rising ball on leg stump as he lunges to the off side so yeah it looks bad but every player has a weakness, was good bowling to exploit that.

Either way I think people take umbrage not with lambasting the batsman, but giving no credit to the bowler (not saying you do this, just some people do).

Harris has been the best bowler on show in this series, he's incredible, if he hadn't been a late developer/crock he would have been an all-time great. Yet I'm not particularly happy the way our last two wickets have fallen to rather basic plans.

Again it's Test cricket, you've got to expect some decent bowling, and you need to counter it with some decent batting, as Watson and Rogers did yesterday.

It's not, but viewing a delivery in isolation makes it much easier to come to that conclusion.
Agreed that Australia are exploiting Trott's weakness of the leg side shot, but that was a bouncer you could have easily ducked. ****ed up to try and actually hit it. You settle down, then you have lots of opportunites to score and smack boundaries. Why waste your innings and jeopardize your team's position (this being the crucial innings) with an utterly ****e shot like that?

not easy to hit catches like that, once I had a **** throw the ball straight at me doing that and I had to cop it

Jeez what the **** is happening to this series - really will be hoping for plenty of rain in Kennington during the fifth Test 'cos I really can't see England getting on top again
