Vaughan and Stewart giving hotspot the shoe after its maker announced that he didn't test it on bats with covers prior to releasing it. If that is what his statement says then that is shocking from both his company, and from the ICC. Why wouldn't it be tested with covers??

England played an awful number of woeful shots yesterday, looking at the highlights I was genuinely pleased I wasn't able to watch yesterday. The only consolation was the fact that they could trudge on from 199/9 to 238. I reckon they'll have to score another 30-40 runs to ease the pressure off their bowlers to be able to attack Australia's batsmen. I won't keep my hopes too high though.
