Guess in itself David Evans' resignation as Essendon chairman isn't a complete surprise. Timing is interesting, though.

also Rohan holds surprisingly terrible cricket opinions. well maybe opinions is the wrong word.but you know

No one was predicting Evans to resign 2 months ago. He was going to stand for re-election and everyone predicted he'd win in a landslide.

the last month or two basically made sure he would stand down at some point in the near future. it's not particularly surprising he's gone before next season (to me, anyway). so it's just going before the report is handed down that's interesting to me. I would have preferred he be the essendon spokesperson in response to the inevitable controversial moves that will happen (hi Hird suspension)
