If they wanted to play for Root's double why the **** did they send the block 20 times and slog once merchant Bairstow? Who's shown in limited overs matches he hasn't got a clue in that sort of situation. He sucked up all the strike, scored **** all.

So then they drag things over into the morning, they piss around again not giving Root the strike and then he plays an awful shot when he does.

Moronic cricket.
It's stupid if you are playing against a good team but they are playing against Australia 2013 so they can afford to muck around

shouldnt be to long now before one of the comms says something about Rogers being the sort of player for this situation, much like we did with Cowan in these situations and Katich before him

England don't know how to attack. I'm willing to bet we'll assist them by getting out anyway.
I have no doubt

However, England want Watson to play across the line so why block the shot off when runs don't matter as all they are doing is encouraging him to play straight?

Whilst I don't expect it to happen, it will be interesting to see the field settings if Oz establish a partnership or 2

Reckon Cooke will crap himself

The Australian batsman will still want to get the runs going. Might as well dry them up and wait for the **** shot.
Would probably work for Watson, Hughes and possibly Clarke, but the other batsmen might show some restraint in this situation, oh, am I dreaming?

After feeling bad about ruining David Warner's Ashes, Joe Root decided not to eclipse Warners highest test score of 180.

Cook has no killer instinct or courage, would be very interesting to see him under pressure, won't happen though

Cook is an ordinary captain tactically, it's just a pity we're not good enough to put him under that much pressure.
