I think that's Clarke catch, but I think both should have gone
I think it was Haddin's but I agree both should've gone. First slip should always fall in behind the keeper on those even if he thinks the keeper is going for it. It was an error of judgement from Haddin but just lazy from Clarke.

Swann was giving him a lot of trouble. I reckon he would have snicked off if he didn't relieve the pressure. Sometimes you do need to take a risk. The execution was poor but charging in the situation is not an inherently stupid thing to do.
He didn't even charge him though, he just sort of overbalanced and swung at it. He was nowhere near it.

Nah not always IMO; Clarke is left handed afterall.
Left handed or not, if the keeper has a decent chance of getting there (which he will if it's to the left of slip) then he just has to go, he has a better chance of taking it and it takes the guesswork out of it.
