*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Funny really. Aus would've won if there was DRS in 2005. Aus probably would've won if there wasn't DRS in 2013.
I don't think we complain about anything unfairly going against us in this match. As far as I'm concerned the Agar stumping decision really should have gone against us, but it didn't and our chances in the match were resurrected from nothing because of it.

That edge wasn't the problem.

Aus win without the Agar/Broad howler.

And pretty much every lineball England LBW was given not out and upheld with DRS, every lineball Aussie LBW was given out, and upheld by DRS.

England very lucky.

More heartbreak. Australian Cricket needed something like that to try and help revive it .

Series over now. The tail won't wag like that again.

Yeah same. The weird thing was how unconvincing the England appeal was considering the circumstances.
Yeah, I think if they'd gone up properly, we'd probably not think it odd at all. Yet it happens, plenty of times, even in Test matches, people don't appeal when there's been an edge, one of Bumbles anecdotes goes on about it.

Yet in this situation, strange. Yet fitting it should end on a ****e Dar decision. Not his best match.

Wonderful test match. One of the very best. Just can't praise Haddin enough really. Tipped him to have a big series here but I didn't think he had that kind of knock in him.

Well done England. What a match. Not a bad effort from the worst side ever to tour England. Haddin's shot to get out wasn't his best, but if it had rocketed through covers for 4 it would have been lauded high and low. As soon as they said the umpire wanted to hear the audio I knew we were ****ed

Time for bed and less than 6 hours sleep.

Are people blind btw? There's a clear mark right where the ball passes Haddin's bat. It couldn't have come from anything else because Haddin's bat was nowhere near the ground nor his pad.

Haddin looking back the final confirmation IMO.

No they wouldn't have, Kasprowicz was plumb lbw with about 40 runs to go.
There were a lot of wrong umpiring decisions in that game. KP should've been out earlier in the 3rd innings, as should Simon Jones, so you can't really work it out. I'm using dramatic licence.

England win easily without the Agar stumping howler.

Quit moaning you sound very bitter.

Fantastic match from start to finish. Hope Aus can pick themselves up and maintain this standard throughout the series. If so it could be a real cracker.

It wasn't though. Prior and Cook were absolutely convinced.
Considering the circumstances though. Would have expected huuuge appeals and an instant review. I'm sure they were pretty convinced yes, but not as much as I'd have expected, is probably just them remaining calm tbf.
